Q: What, exactly, do you do?

A: We specialize in helping small- to medium-sized companies grow. We provide the up front building layouts, design criteria, budgets, and schedules to help clients visualize their expansion programmes. Once decided upon, we help clients by managing the design and construction programmes thereby ensuring a successful occupancy by the client.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Since 1988.

Q: What are your qualifications and background?

A: Dick Crawford, president and chief project manager, has been a project manager for over 43 years. He has spent more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry as an owner’s representative, 6 years as a building contractor manager and 16 years as a building consultant.

Q: Do you do any international work?

A: We work in Canada, U.S.A. and the Caribbean. We have also experience in building pharmaceutical plants in various other countries.

Q: Can smaller companies afford your services?

A: Most of our clients are small to medium companies who are in very competitive markets. We offer affordable rates that fit the tight budgets of these growing companies.

Q: I don’t know much about your skills and services. How do I know you’ll be able to help me?

A: Our specialty is to help small companies visualize their expansions by helping them to define their requirements. The first consultation to review the project requirements is free. We provide feedback about your project on a regular basis to ensure that we are achieving your goals. If you are not satisfied with our services in the first 4 months, we will refund your fees.

Q: What kinds of things would you do to keep my costs lower than what another company might charge?

A: We have developed our own management approach to building projects which we call the Crawford Building Consultant’s Methodology. It is a unique management approach honed over more than 100 complex projects. This approach removes many of the inefficiencies common in other project management methods. Additionally, a principal of the company is involved in every project, ensuring adherence to our three-part goal of shorter time, lower costs, and better designs.
